It's the little things

Another week down!  I have discovered that it is definitely the little things that keep a girl going - Like STARBUCKS.  Since it is hotter than you know what over here, there is nothing like a cold iced tea in the afternoon to cool you off.  It has been quite a luxury here that I definitely appreciate.

In other news, we took another field trip last Saturday to KNB - the Kuwaiti Naval Base.  Apparently, this used to be quite the bustling base about 10 years ago, but it looked more like a ghost town when we were there. On the upside, we drove right up to the shore and we were able to but our hands in the Persian Gulf.  It looked like the Caribbean, and then I remembered where we were :)  There was also some shopping there - without the AAFES markups. I bought some things for a couple of special ladies who I think will appreciate the gifts.

Other than that, just plugging away....until next time, Oh and I finished SOS!! So I am officially ready for my role a a Captain in the USAF!

Right down the way from our dorms. Not quite everything that you can get at the American version, but just enough to remind you of home.

Barges at KNB

Minus the uniform and location, this almost looks refreshing

Paradise?  Looked pretty enticing.  Too bad, no swimming allowed.

2 weeks more

Sorry for  not posting for the last 2 weeks, I have been busy, and quite honestly, not much has gone on in the last couple of weeks.  I am in a routine as described previously and that is pretty much it - not too exciting.

Highlights of the last few weeks are as follows:

Oh hey Brooklyn Decker and some other model gal.  They were nice - needless to say, the boys were much more excited than I was
AF birthday 5K, we missed the half marathon/10K at the Air Force base up the road because of travel restrictions - bummer!

Sandstorm anyone?
MSgt Spears artwork in the clinic
Doing work - studying SOS. One more test and then I am done!
Supporting the Horns and their win over OK State.  Hook'em, until next time...
